ASSIEGéR - besiege(d)- is a collaboration between three artists from Luxembourg and two artists from the UK. ASSIEGéR refers to Luxembourg’s complex history: its fortress, its military barracks, its strategic position as the ‘Gibraltar of the North’ as well as the different vestiges and cultural influences left by its ‘invaders’.

In a more abstract way, this concept also reflects the onslaught that we often feel from mass culture, advertising, tourism’s ‘assault’ in the summer, television…

Above all ASSIEGéR symbolizes an artistic siege, where artists from different horizons, backgrounds and influences, as well as the audience, come together for exchange and interaction.
